Applications are invited from
the teaching staffs of the Indian Universities and colleges
to participate in two short-term (2 weeks each) AICTE
sponsored refresher courses on:
Progress in Pharmaceutical
Research and Technology.
Duration of the Course:
Course I :
From 18th August
2008 to 30th August 2008.
Course II:
From 1st September
2008 to 13th September
2008.
Venue:
Seminar room, 3rd
floor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology.
Interested participants may apply on plain paper through
their Head of the Institution or Colleges giving full
details of their name, address, qualifications, teaching &
research experiences with an attested photograph pasted on
it, to Dr. Biswajit Mukherjee, Co-ordinator, QIP
Nodal Cell (Pharmacy), Department of Pharmaceutical
Technology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata-700 032 on or
before 31th July, 2008. TA/Railway sleeper class
fare and DA will be provided as per the AICTE Rules.
Interested Participant may apply for Course I or Course II
or both of the Courses. Course I and Course II have
different course content.

Research Training
Programme on
CGE Modeling and Data Analysis
October 20-26 , 2008
The Department of
Economics invites application for a one-week long Research
Training Programme (RTP) in CGE Modeling during October
20-26, 2008, which is funded by UNCTAD-India, New Delhi,
under its Project “Strategies and Preparedness for Trade and
Globalization in India” (a joint trade related research
capacity building project of UNCTAD, DFID and the Ministry
of Commerce, GoI). This course is intended to train college
teachers and research scholars in CGE modeling and data
analysis. Hiren Sarkar (UNESCAP), Ganesh Kumar and Manoj
Panda (IGIDR), Sanjib Pohit (NCAER) and Shahid Ahmed (UNCTAD-India)
are among the resource persons of the RTP.
