Attainments at National Level

The Department has received grants from CSIR, MHRD, AICTE, DST, ARDB, DAE and Department of Cultural , WB Science & Technology for different projects of national importance. The department extended its expertise to organizations in the form of testing consultancy, and HRD Programmes. Notable among them are CMWSA, SIST, ESAB India Ltd. GPIL, Hind Motors.

An industry relevant open house discussion on "Emerging Steel Technology" was organised in 1998 where a senior scientist from Pench Steel Corporation U.S.A. interacted with senior personnel from top steel producers and consultants of India.
